NEW - DBIS (Datenbank-Infosystem)

17.9.2025 | Library

All of our databases are now stored in the DBIS database information system. In addition to the databases we have licensed, freely available databases are now also included. The respective access types are also noted for each database.

Access to most databases is still via IP check.

This means that with Eduroam or on permanently installed PCs on campus, access is automatic without further authentication. Outside the campus, eduVPN is required for access.

The authentication procedure differs from the above for the following databases:

Beck online, Juris, ResearchConnect

We generally recommend searching via the links in DBIS. This is the only way we can guarantee that all our licensed content can be accessed.

As before, the databases are organised by subject under Collections.

Selected, freely available databases (green traffic light) are listed under Subjects – the THD's TOP databases are at the top.

You can search for database titles/descriptions using Search. There are also extensive filter options, e.g. by subject area, keywords, etc.

The most important information about DBIS is summarised in this instruction.
